San Diego Padres outfielder Travis Jankowski went 3-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's loss to the St. Louis Cardinals. The blast and RBI were Jankowski's firsts of the season. The big night upped his season slash to .353/.421/.559 along with seven runs and two steals in 11 games. Jankowski was recalled from Triple-A El Paso on April 29 and is regularly batting leadoff for the Friars. His playing time is uncertain once outfielders Wil Myers (oblique) and Hunter Renfroe (elbow) return but he appears a more polished hitter after the brief stint in the minor leagues. Jankowski is a dicey fantasy pickup due to the Padres scuffling offense and the looming risk on his future opportunities, but could provide a useful short-term speed boost if the average holds up. Jankowski has 38 stolen bases in 51 attempts over 604 career plate appearances.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
