No longer dealing with the symptoms of right shoulder tendonitis that landed him on the disabled list, New York Yankees reliever Tommy Kahnle is inching closer and closer towards returning. Out since April, the 28-year-old has thrown some bullpen sessions with all the pitches in his repertoire, experiencing no pain and admitting he was pleased with his velocity. Now, according to Yankees beat writer Bryan Hoch, Kahnle could return to the major league team by the end of the upcoming road trip, which lasts for a week and begins this upcoming Wednesday. While the Yankees have been on an outstanding run that brought them to the best record in baseball, they’ve missed Kahnle and will gladly welcome him back when he returns.--RDelgado
