San Diego Padres closer Brad Hand slammed the door Tuesday against the San Francisco Giants for his seventh save. After a nightmare outing Monday where he gave up three earned runs and suffered a blown save and loss, Hand enjoyed a flawless ninth inning Tuesday. It was a surprise to see him take the mound on back-to-back days after 37 pitches the previous night, but the former starter had some gas in the tank. The nod is a big vote of confidence for the left-hander as the team's primary closer. Hand holds a 3.07 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 12.89 K/9 in 14 2/3 innings pitched.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
