Kansas City Royals outfielder Jorge Soler is most famous for his burst onto the scene with the Cubs back in 2014. Since then, he's mostly been a man of heaving swings and minimal noise. He's never logged more than 405 plate appearances or 12 home runs in the majors in a single season, and it's because his contact issues have gotten him sent back down quickly at every turn. Last year, he was demoted after hitting .144 over 35 games. However, it appears the Royals have taught the man patience. This season, Soler's strikeout and walk rates have both improved 8%, and he's hitting .292. Unfortunately, that success has robbed him of his power so far. He's only hit two home runs, but if he can continue to be patient and learn when to unleash those mighty swings, Soler may finally live up to the hype he's had for years.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
