Tampa Bay Lightning forward J.T. Miller was hit in the face with a puck during Game 3, resulting in Miller needing 13 stitches. The injury happened at the end of the second period and Miller received the stitches during intermission, allowing him to return to the game in the third period. Though the injury did not keep him out of action for long, Miller did not record a point for the second time this series. His lone assist came in Game 2 and represents a sharp change in fortune for Miller after he finished the regular season with four points in five games. He is still playing on the top line and top power-play unit with Steven Stamkos and Nikita Kucherov, but his lack of production is concerning. With that deployment it should only be a matter of time before the points come for Miller, but with only one career playoff goal in 43 games, his production improving is far from a sure thing. If you are looking for a Lightning forward to play, there are better options available.--Russ Ivanac - RotoBaller
