NBA Weekly Streamers for Week 10 (12/18-12/14)

Ray D analyzes Week 10 streaming opportunities for head-to-head fantasy basketball leagues. He reviews the upcoming NBA schedule and players to add.

This year we'll take more of a holistic approach to streaming, by providing a weekly overview of which teams to look at based on their schedules and what players to consider targeting in advance to maximize the bang for the buck you get out of limited weekly transactions. Streaming is just about maximizing a roster spot with whoever is available after all, it's never about targeting a specific player.

Anybody can go onto their waiver wire, look for the most interesting player with a game the next day, and add him. So we'll be plotting out our moves in advance because being able to target a stream two days out or add two extra games in one transaction is where you can really gain an edge over the average streamer. Hopefully, this weekly overview will help you realize that edge.

Week 10 is kind of a short week, due to Christmas Eve, but it can also be a pivotal one as it marks the halfway point of the fantasy season. Now is a good time to make a gamble on some players, as there are guys picking up steam and worthy of a spot in your lineup before it's too late. Remember, there is no game on Sunday, so if you've made your Fantasy Football finals, allow yourself to relax and enjoy your championship game.

Baller Streaming Strategy for the Week

In Week 10, we've got a stack of four-game teams playing in what is essentially a 6 day week with no Sunday games. Just because there are no games Sunday doesn't mean that the weekend is a wash, quite the contrary actually. There is a bevy of games lined up on Friday and Saturday, with 18 and 26, respectively. With a majority of teams playing four games, and some seriously dense slates lined up during the week, there is naturally an uneven distribution which leaves two prime streaming days available.

Two teams to consider are the Philadelphia 76ers and the New York Knicks. Philadelphia is one of the two teams to play on days of five games or less, but unlike Cleveland--who only plays twice this week--they play four games. Philly might not have many options, but both Trevor Booker and Richaun Holmes have been playing well lately, and get enough rebounds to warrant a stream.

The Knicks, on the other hand, play only three games this week, but all of their games come on days with 10 games or less, including a Thursday matchup with Boston. The Knicks have been playing well recently, and have several low-key options depending on what you need. Michael Beasley is coming off of a season-high 30 point game in which he outplayed the Thunder and their big-3. With Kristaps Porzingis in a fragile state lately, Beasley is worth the add if you are looking for solid all-around production. Jarret Jack can provide you assists, Kyle O'Quinn with boards, and Doug McDermott is an interesting add if you're in need of three-pointers.

Another approach to take would be streaming players from Milwaukee, New Orleans, and Washington, as these three teams all play Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Notable options here are John Henson, E'Twaun Moore, Kelly Oubre Jr., and Mike Scott. Any of these guys can provide solid value, and are worth owning for the short term beyond streaming. Mike Scott is interesting, as he has played well enough to create a positional battle with Markieff Morris, so make sure to keep an eye on him.

Several more options to consider are a group of Miami Heat players trending up. Josh Richardson, Tyler Johnson, and Wayne Ellington are all worthy adds for the short term, and with Miami playing four games this week, now is a great time to flex an open spot on one of them. They're all scoring in the double digits, drilling triples, grabbing boards, and getting 25+ MPG over the last two weeks. Richardson is the obvious brand name in this group, but if he is already taken, consider Ellington or Johnson.
