Now that Week 1 has come and gone, we have somewhat of a little taste on production from players who did not get too much attention on people's draft boards.

The tight end spot is very thin this year, and most often Week 1 is where we find out who will be fitting in on certain teams. Pounce early on certain players and it could end up paying off large dividends later on in the year. With that being said, below are my Week 2 waiver wire adds for tight ends.

Yes, we only have one week to analyze data so far and it's a very small sample size. But this is the week where fantasy football teams can make or break. That doesn't mean drop players that don't deserve it, but if you have some space on your bench you might want to consider these three tight ends.

Tight Ends to Target on Waivers - Week 2

Jesse James (TE, PIT)

It's going to be really hard to ignore the boisterous numbers that Jesse put up in the first game of the season. Albeit, it was against the Cleveland Browns, but the Browns actually showed some defensive toughness and were contenders throughout the entire matchup in Week 1.

Big Jesse James, who stands at a mammoth 6'7'' and 255 lbs had himself a career day. James caught six balls for 41 yards, and two touchdowns, on eight total targets. Big Ben looked for Big Jesse often and was his prime red zone target. Clearly, we all need to shelve our expectations knowing that all Sundays won't look like this one for Jesse. However, you can probably expect at least 5-6 catches a game and some red zone looks.

It's definitely worth an add if you are already looking thin at your tight end spot. The 3rd year tight end from Penn State will be a solid addition even if he is used as a backup or for bye weeks.

Coby Fleener (TE, NO)

It has been a tough bunch of years for Coby Fleener who was once a highly coveted TE for fantasy football. He started his career on the Indianapolis Colts and was thought to be a potential mega-star coming out of Stanford, especially with the chemistry already developed with fellow Stanford alumni quarterback Andrew Luck as his professional teammate.

Dreams were shattered for us fantasy owners in previous years as he never really lived up to the hype, including last season when it was his first year with the New Orleans Saints. This year may be a little different. He caught five passes for 54 yards and a touchdown on six total targets. He was a prime receiver in the offense and contributed.

It's his second year in the system, so maybe this is finally the year where he can be a top 10 tight end and live up to past promises up fantasy football glory. Pick him up, stash him on the bench if it makes you feel better, and let's see what the rest of the season holds for him.

Charles Clay (TE, BUF)

Good ole' reliable Charles Clay. This guy has been below the fantasy football radar line every year he plays. This is a player that typically goes undrafted each season, but gets picked up at some point throughout the year and provides good depth for someone's team. That team can be yours and that time can be now.

Big Chuck saw nine targets against the Jets in Week 1 which led the team. In fact, the next highest wide receiver in targets was Zay Jones with four. He caught four balls for 53 yards and a touchdown. Very nice Week 1 stats. With star wide receiver Sammy Watkins long gone, these target amounts may become a realistic consistency for Charles.

Pickup and stash Mr. Clay, because you will probably need him at some point throughout this season and he can provide quality fill-in starts for your team.
