It is a short, five-game slate tonight on FanDuel, but there are quite a few solid fantasy options. The Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets should be a fun, high-scoring affair, while the Minnesota Timberwolves will attempt to out-offense the defensive San Antonio Spurs.

Read on for the top daily fantasy NBA lineup picks for FanDuel (1/17/17). The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on FanDuel.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Kyle Lowry - PG, at BKN ($9,000)

Kyle Lowry is a little bit too expensive right now, but he has been playing extremely well of recent, and the Brooklyn Nets are not going to be able to slow him down. The Nets are one of the worst teams in the league against opposing point guards, and Lowry posted over 40 fantasy points in four of his last six contests. Against the Chicago Bulls, he showed off his impressive upside, posting over 60 fantasy points. Even with other scoring options, such as DeMar DeRozan, Lowry is the focus of the Toronto Raptors offense. He can be rostered in both 50/50 contests and tournaments tonight with confidence, even at $9,000.

D'Angelo Russell - PG, vs DEN ($6,000)

D'Angelo Russell has great upside tonight against the Denver Nuggets, who are one of the worst defensive teams in the league against all positions. Russell posted over 30 fantasy points in six of his last nine games. In his last game, he posted 29.9 fantasy points in 26 minutes against the Detroit Pistons. The Los Angeles Lakers rely heavily on Russell while he is on the court, but he has only been seeing around 25-30 minutes per game. At his price tag, he can be used in both 50/50 contests and tournaments, but is obviously best suited for tournaments.

Also Consider: Eric Gordon - SG, at MIA ($5,800)

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Nikola Jokic - PF, at LAL ($8,500)

Nikola Jokic is very expensive right now, but for great reason. The Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Lakers game is definitely one to attack. The last time Jokic faced off against a team from Los Angeles, he posted over 45 fantasy points against the Clippers. The Lakers are much worse defensively than the Clippers, so Jokic should have an easier time scoring and rebounding. In his last seven games, he has over 35 fantasy points in all of them. With over 40 fantasy points in four of those seven games, the Denver Nuggets breakout big man can be rostered in both 50/50 contests and tournaments. His production has been well worth his high price tag of recent.

Julius Randle - PF, vs DEN ($6,200)

In case I haven't mentioned it yet, the Los Angeles Lakers are playing the Denver Nuggets tonight on a short, five-game slate. The Nuggets are horrible defensively, and Julius Randle has great upside in tournaments. His price tag is very reasonable, and that is likely due to his struggles in around 50 percent of his last 10 games. Against the Memphis Grizzlies, he posted over 50 fantasy points in 37 minutes on the court. In his last five games, he has over 35 fantasy points in two of them. Do not roster Randle in cash games, but he is a very high-upside power forward option.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Karl-Anthony Towns - C, at SAS ($9,400)

Do not avoid Karl-Anthony Towns tonight against the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs are great defensively, but Pau Gasol is not the reason why. KAT should not have any issues scoring tonight, and he currently has over 50 fantasy points in three of his last four contests. Hassan Whiteside is a great tournament option for his upside, but Towns has flat out been the best center in the league over his last few games. He is posting huge double-double stat lines. Again, roster him in all leagues without hesitation.
