NBA Daily Fantasy Lineup Picks - FanDuel Basketball Advice for 10/29/16

I'll make this quick because I know you all probably skip this anyway. Blah, blah, my opinion on this crazy first few days of the season. Onto what matters, NBA DFS. I'll give you a heads up and not to brag buuutt I've been doing quite well lately in FanDuel and I plan to do my best in helping you join me in the winners circle...

Remember these first few days will be tough to gauge how each player will be used so recent performances and matchups are the best points of analysis. As for my lineup for Saturday, October 29th, I'm using most of these players in my lineup...I believe if I advise you to choose the players and it all goes downhill, I'll be tumbling down right next to you. Let's get rolling…

FanDuel DFS Guards

Damian Lillard - PG, POR ($9,100)

Proving himself as one of the premier scoring guards in the NBA, Lillard has a tasty matchup against Emmanuel Mudiay and the Denver Nuggets. After a strong season debut and a 29 point outing in a loss against the Clippers two nights ago, Lillard should be primed to go against Denver on Saturday. Lillard is going to be posting All-Star numbers all season and has a very good chance at being among top 4 in scoring when the season comes to an end. With a hot start to this season, I'll ride the Lillard train and even pay extra...you should too.

Kyrie Irving - PG, CLE ($7,500)

Another player on a hot streak is Kyrie Irving. In a close game against the Raptors, Irving drilled a three to put the Cavaliers up and ultimately win the game. With 26 points on 23 attempts, Irving has seen better shooting nights and I see him posting all around better numbers against the Magic. He'll be going against Elfrid Payton, who is also on the second night of a back to back, a shaky defender that Kyrie should easily roast for 30. Let's be real here. Kyrie could roast anyone for 30, maybe even 40. I'm going to make the most of the Kyrie at this price because I'm predicting this is the lowest his price is all season.

Patty Mills - PG, SA ($3,900)

If you are convinced to take Irving and Lillard, you need some value. Boom, Patty Mills against the Pelicans. A team that just lost to the Warriors in a surprisingly close game, needing their starters to put in a hefty workload. Tim Frazier isn't the most menacing matchup and Patty Mills thrives in the Spurs offense with efficient shooting and a superb ability to find open spaces. Tony Parker gets a little bit older every day and Patty Mills will slowly fill his role as the Spurs point guard. He had a poor outing against the Kings, going 2-7 and scoring 6 points but Mills has a proven track record of being one of the more consistent backup point guards and he should see plenty of minutes against the Pelicans.

Tim Hardaway ($3,600) / Kyle Korver ($3,700) - SG, ATL

I predict the Hawks to shred the 76ers. When I mean shred, I mean score over 120 and after scoring 114 against the Wizards, I don't see them scoring less than that against Philadelphia . With such low prices, Kyle Korver is almost a must-start value play, while Tim Hardaway Jr. is close behind. Korver has one of the more efficient jump shots in the league but we haven't seen it yet. We know it's there and I think Korver will light up the 76ers. That being said, he hasn't proved it to us so there is a bit of risk involved. If you prefer results rather than speculation, Tim Hardaway Jr. Is usually a DFS players nightmare but the time has come to ride the Hardaway train for as long as it's going. Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer clearly trusts Hardaway to take shots and like any shooter, give them enough opportunities and they will start to produce. Again, I'm favoring a Hawks demolishing of the 76ers and both Korver and Hardaway Jr. to be great value options for Saturday.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Lebron James - SF, CLE ($9,900)

Everyday is a good day to be on Lebron James. The Magic are not much of a threat defensively and James was close to a triple double in 38 minutes against the Raptors. James will want to put the Magic away quickly and that means he has to play hard early and develop a lead Orlando can't recover from. James should have 20 by halftime and a triple double before the 4th quarter. He is going to dissect the Magic defense and my bold prediction would be James going 25/16/11 against Orlando. Believe it or not but I expect him to rebound.

Maurice Harkless - SF, POR ($5,400)

A middle of the road option that won't break the bank. Maurice Harkless only took two shots the first game and the second game went off for 23 points, shooting 10-15 from the field while snagging eight rebounds in a loss against the Clippers. He should be underdrafted due to low name recognition but that won't last for long. Harkless is a baller and I've been saying it for a while, as long as he keeps getting opportunities, he will convert. Against the Nuggets, Harkless will continue to shine and it should be a shootout between two offense-focused teams.

Mike Muscala - PF, ATL ($3,700)

Mike Muscala will slide under the radar for a few more games and with Mike Scott out in the season opener, Muscala may have turned a few too many heads by leading the Hawks in minutes of the bench in their victory over Washington. In 25 minutes he scored nine points, grabbed four rebounds, and added three blocks and two steals. He did a little bit of everything and showed great promise as a bench facilitator. As a forward, he is prone to grabbing rebounds and scoring putbacks so the totals are low and should see increases as he continues to impress early in the season.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Demarcus Cousins - C, SAC ($9,800)

I like both Demarcus Cousins and Karl-Anthony Towns in this matchup. Cousins is simply too good to pass up and watching him makes you even more confident in your pick. He runs the Kings offense, scores with ease and is always involved. If he can stay out of foul trouble, Cousins will be a DFS gem. His price is a little high but with the amount of value today, your lineup will be filled with talent to fill any void left by high risk plays. With a day of rest after a back to back to start the season, Cousins should have no problem against the Timberwolves.

Karl-Anthony Towns - C, MIN ($8,700)

Karl - Anthony Towns is going up against a Kings team that his versatility should exploit for a high quality fantasy day. I say Boogie gets the better of the two in the end but with the amount of money you save by going with Towns, you could add a Kawhi or some Love to your lineup. Towns should look to improve on his 9-20 shooting night to start the season. The Timberwolves need more Towns in the offense if they want to win and as the season progresses, Towns usage will go up which means his price will go up. Saturday could be an ideal time to use Towns to get Boogie like production. I still think Cousins goes off the first time this season.
