Two teams that everyone should love to pick on will go toe to toe tonight. The Lakers will meet the Sixers on Tuesday night in what figures to be a matchup that should offer plenty of cheap, exploitable options at almost every position. Or, the game could be a complete mess with over 40 combined turnovers.
In this article, I will be providing you with Daily NBA picks for DraftKings for Tuesday, 12/1/15. The picks will range from some of the elite players, to mid-priced options, and value plays.

DraftKings DFS Point Guards
Ish Smith (vs MEM, $6,900)
It used to be that Smith would only get recommended plays if Jrue Holiday was to sit. That is not the case anymore. Smith is playing out of his mind even off the bench. He has played at least 30 minutes in seven straight games, averaging 16.1 points, 4.9 boards, and a healthy 8.9 assists per game during that span. His price isn’t too high either.
Mike Conley (at NO, $6,700)
Though Smith has more upside, a safer option is Conley. Money Mike is capable of logging up to 38 minutes, even in an up-tempo game. New Orleans has played a lot of high scoring games and own the league’s second worst defensive efficiency. Since November 7th, the former Ohio State standout has scored at or above recommended value compared to his price.
Zach Lavine (vs. ORL, $5,400)
Starter Ricky Rubio is listed as questionable. If he does not dress, LaVine should be almost an automatic plug-in as the heir apparent to the starting role once again. Orlando has been tougher than expected this season, but LaVine’s minutes and opportunity are simply overwhelming for the price.
DraftKings DFS Shooting Guards
C.J. McCollum (vs DAL, $6,600)
Eric Bledsoe against the Brooklyn Nets is 100% the top dollar play of the day. However, McCollum offers the best value per dollar option. His floor is relatively high (he is averaging nearly 20 points per game) and he is seeing a 25.9% usage rate. You’d like to see his assists spike a bit, but we can handle him getting the ball at least once every four possessions.
Kobe Bryant (at PHI, $5,800)
Let me be perfectly clear on this selection. Bryant is nothing more than a flier selection in a GPP. I repeat, Bryant is nothing more than a flier selection in a GPP. Wouldn’t it be fun to see him return to his hometown and drop 40 points? It’s possible. Especially against an atrocious team/defense in Philadelphia. While I wholeheartedly believe he will lay a dud- I’m thinking another 4-for-20 from the floor performance- he will at least get a lot of chances to score some points. And the Black Mamba is not one to give up chances.
DraftKings DFS Small Forwards
LeBron James (vs WAS, $9,700)
It’s the King’s court tonight. LBJ is the clear favorite on the slate. The Washington Wizards are a team in disarray right now, giving up a ton of points to opposing forwards and playing at a tempo that allows for them to fall behind big quickly. The blowout potential is there, but even if the Cavs win by 20, King James will get his.
Robert Covington (vs. LAL, $6,700)
If you blinked at all over the last four days, you probably noticed Covington’s price has skyrocketed up by about 1000 percent. (Note: I was never good at math.) I guess that’s what happens when you have a stat line that looks like 18/8/2/5.2/1 over you last five games. Did you notice the fourth line that represents steals? Over five steals per game. Insane. Usually I would suggest fading a guy that has numbers and price jumps like this for fear of overpaying past his peak, but the Lakers are a team that I love to pick on. Ride Covington’s hot streak.
DraftKings DFS Power Forwards
Kevin Love (vs. WAS, $8,600)
Dial in to the Love connection for Tuesday night. The Wizards have been atrocious in attempting to stop forwards and Love presents all sorts of matchup problems for whoever is annointed the task of playing defense. Expect a double-double for the big man in Cleveland.
Julius Randle (at PHI, $6,100)
The de facto rookie has dropped three double-doubles in his last five games averaging 13.6 and 9.8 boards over that span. Those aren’t overwhelming numbers, but he will get to tee off against the Philadelphia front court. A front court that will most likely be without Nerlens Noel, the only forward on the roster (unless Jahlil Okafor is included in that list) that is capable of manning up on Randle. The Lakers and Sixers are both really, really bad this year, which should allow for sub-par to mid-tier level players to really thrive. I can’t see a better fit into that category than Randle.
DraftKings DFS Centers
Jahlil Okafor (vs. LAL, $6,600)
The rookie out of Duke is the best option nearly across the board. There really aren’t any low-end flier options available and the top option, Marc Gasol, will most likely get a tough matchup against a large human being that owns a sick unibrow. The Lakers are among the worst teams in the league in defending opposing centers, leading to a higher floor for Okafor. There are causes for concern, though. The rookie has shot only 30% from the field over his last two and his rebounds have dipped a bit. That being said, he is still playing at least 32 minutes per outing and there is no reason to think he cannot top that Tuesday night. Unless, of course, he gets into a fight.
