Daily Fantasy College Football - DraftKings CFB DFS Picks for 11/5-11/6

Going into week 10 of the college football season, the injuries that plague offensive players and how if affects a teams performance is evident as ever. However, many college programs seem to finally understand and value depth at these sensitive positions. Plenty of second-string success stories exist all over the FBS, especially at schools like Notre Dame, whose first string quarterback and running back are out for the season.

It's times like these where having a little prior knowledge of incoming freshman can be incredibly helpful during line-up rotations. Unproven players who are expedited to first string are great to draft into a line-up the weeks they're starting because of how much lower their salary typically will be.

There's plenty of severe mismatches this week, which is easily part of the recipe for success in DFS. These last few weeks, it's typical that teams follow their existing track records after nine weeks of football.

DraftKings CFB Lineup Picks - Fantasy College Football (Week 10)

Baylor Bears (7-0) @Kansas State Wildcats (3-4)
Baylor's starting quarterback, Seth Russel, is out for the year while he recovers from surgery due to a fractured bone in his neck. Don't be discouraged. QB Jarrett Stidham's ($8,500, 6.5 FPPG) first competitive snap early this season was a touchdown pass. The analysts at DraftKings seem to think that Stidham won't be opting to run the ball himself as much as Russel did, but they clearly don't know about the dual-threat nature of his play-making skills. However, RB Shock Linwood ($7,900, 25.4 FPPG) will probably continue to share in those duties to protect the depth chart.

As always, if you can spare the DFS cash, WR Corey Coleman ($8,600, 39.2 FPPG) will likely be Stidham's favorite target. Typically I go for WR Jay Lee ($5,600, 16.4 FPPG), but second string QBs who get their first start often lock into the favored receiver for the better part of the game.

Buffalo Bulls (4-4) @Kent State Golden Flashes (3-5)
Buffalo's WR Ron Willoughby ($4,800, 15.1 FPPG) has been regarded as a bit of a loose cannon in terms of fantasy points, but he received two touchdown passes last week @Miami (Ohio), and it's likely he'll have more confidence going forward. Good thing, because QB Joe Licata ($5,900, 14.6 FPPG) is likely aware that he needs to stop running the ball himself, especially if he cares about the negative numbers that are accumulating in his gamely rushing stats. Don't bank on him for away games. However, you can certainly count on RB Jordan Johnson ($6,700, 15.1 FPPG) to carry out some of those rushing duties, especially now that the Bulls have likely noticed their rushing numbers on the road aren't looking strong.

Arkansas State Red Wolves (5-3) @Appalachian State Mountaineers (7-1)
Arkansas State will be looking for redemption in only their second time playing against Appalachian State and their first time doing so away from home. However, Arkansas State QB Fredi Knighten ($7,100, 16.6 FPPG), who holds the record for 5th most completed passes in school history, doesn't do as much running as QB Taylor Lamb ($7,000, 23.6), and therefore likely won't put up the bigger numbers.

RB Marcus Cox ($6,800, 21.1 FPPG) will continue to contribute to their favored run game, and WR Simms McElfresh ($3,900, 12.5 FPPG) has been picking up some decent yardage after-the-catch. Appalachian State is poised for success.

Ball State Cardinals (3-6) @Western Michigan Broncos (5-3)
Western Michigan is the only team undefeated in the Mountain American Conference West division, while Ball State is 2-3. Broncos QB Zach Terrell ($7,800, 23.0 FPPG) rushed for 72 yards last week, and completed 17 of 23 passes. WR Daniel Braverman ($7,700, 32.1 FPPG) had lower numbers last week because of the short-lived play drives but will likely return to domination this week. Also, RB Jarvion Franklin ($5,300, 14.7 FPPG) can both run and make receptions, so he'll never disappoint as a supplementing aspect of your lineup.
