Daily Fantasy College Football - DraftKings CFB DFS Picks for 10/17 (Early Games)

The most deceitful statistic, when it comes to fantasy sports, is a team's record. Going into Week 7, lopsided win-loss records are still not the way that you want to decide which CFB DFS baskets you're putting your hard earned eggs into. Don't let go of a winning strategy or make the famous mistake of getting too comfortable with the same players when setting your DraftKings CFB lineups.

That being said, if you're still trying to find some type of (winning) groove, now is as good of a time as any to do the extra DFS research on one or two matchups with big fantasy players and figure out what makes them play-makers week after week. Teams with newly-injured or suspended players that are stacked with depth at the rotating position make for great sleeper picks on DraftKings, though they will be a small gamble going into a players' first week as a starter.

Since we are now mid-way through the college football season, teams have enough stats that you can start to draw reasonable conclusions and detect probability based on what they've done over the last six weeks. You don't have to be a math major to figure out who's gonna row the boat this weekend in your CFB DFS lineups. Good Luck!

DraftKings CFB Lineup Picks - Fantasy College Football (Week 7 - Early Games)

Ole Miss Rebels (5-1) @ Memphis Tigers (5-0)

Memphis has showed incredible stability thus far, but they have only played unranked teams. Despite belief that Memphis will come through with the upset and defeat Ole Miss, they don't have the numbers you need in Saturday mornings' game slate.

Go with Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly ($7,400, 28.7 FPPG). Furthermore, with running back Jaylen Walton being injured, you can expect a bigger passing game from Kelly, whose favorite target is wide receiver Quincy Adeboyejo ($4,800, 16.4 FPPG). And, I mean, for the price...

Purdue Boilermakers (1-5) @ Wisconsin Badgers (4-2)

Not that Wisconsin has really blown us away this season, but there's plenty signs of life coming from Madison, especially when you're comparing it to a (at one time) dominant Purdue team.

Running back Dare Ogunbowale ($4,900, 15.3) is still struggling to fill the shoes of former Wisconsin running back Melvin Gordon, but he'll likely have plenty of opportunities to shine on Saturday. Additionally, wide receiver Alex Erickson ($4,800, 15.1 FPPG) will likely be difficult to stop and pick up some yards after the catch.

Texas Tech Red Raiders (4-2) @Kansas Jayhawks (0-5)

Kansas is still searching for that first win of the season, and there isn't a prayer for them yet against Texas Tech... not even in their own house. Texas Tech is stacked with that Big 12 run-and-shoot, play-making talent that has been making college football fantasy owners rich all season long.

Bank on quarterback Patrick Mahomes II ($9,500, 38.8 FPPG), who is a little pricey, but not over-priced. Mahomes has put up 40+ points in his last two games, and you're unlikely to beat an opponent who drafts him into a carefully selected line-up. Wide receiver Jakeem Grant ($7,200, 26.9 FPPG) has also had some notable success in his last two games, putting up 30+ points in each.

Running back Deandre Washington (6,300, 23.3) has put up more than 28 points in the last two games, and will likely surpass 30 in this match-up. Considering how unreliable running backs are in a CFB DFS fantasy lineup, he'll be the guy who brings it home for fantasy owners that are smart enough to draft him Saturday morning.

Louisville Cardinals (2-3) @Florida State Seminoles (5-0)

Louisville is still under-delivering after a hope-building performance last season, and Florida State is still going strong week after week, despite broadcasters insisting on their demise every Saturday morning for the last six weeks.

Heisman Trophy prospect running back Dalvin Cook ($9,000, 31.3) left more jaws than ever on living room floors last week when he fought through an injury to rush for more yards than most healthy running backs did all weekend. Now is also a good time to count on wide receiver Travis Rudolph ($4,300, 11.8) - he's ready to wake up from CFB sleeper mode and carry some of the weight for Cook, who will still inevitably be rushing into the end zone all night.

Vanderbilt Commodores (2-3) @South Carolina Gamecocks (2-4)

The Gamecocks have just lost head coach Steve Spurrier, but its the injuries that still have people on the fence about this performance at home. You can still rely on wide receiver Pharoh Cooper ($6,900, 19.4 FPPG) to bring it home for you on DraftKings, who is now racking up more than 20 points per game. Vanderbilt's running back Ralph Webb ($5,400, 21.5 FPPG) is a nicely priced sure-thing for his position in CFB DFS, and racked up 28 points agains Ole Miss last week.
