What's up RotoBallers. Below are my FanDuel lineup picks for Tuesday, September 22nd. We've got a 15 game night scheduled, with the first pitch is slated for 7:05 EDT.
My goal with these DFS picks, as always, is to try to choose players who will outperform their expectations.
These players can be high-cost players, or they can be sleepers, but we are always looking for players that have a chance to return the greatest value on FanDuel.
Offenses to Target for FanDuel Stacking
There are quite a few decent pitchers on the board tonight and not much is jumping off the page in terms of pitcher's to pick on and stack against. They aren't even aces, they're more like middle-of-the-rotation guys, honestly. Kind of annoying, but we can work with it. The silver lining to no real obvious stacks and that their could be low ownership on these guys.
Mets LHB versus Matt Wisler
This is my favorite stack of the night and I'll likely have a few shares of Mets lefties that fall in the top and middle of their order. The Mets are heavy, heavy favorites in this one (-225) and with Logan Verrett taking the hill for the boys from Queens, I'd be willing to bet money the guys in Vegas are expecting some offense. For the season, Wisler has allowed a .463 wOBA and .639 slugging percentage to left-handed bats. That is not a misprint.
Rays LHB versus Henry Owens
I do like the Rays chances - specifically their left-handed batters - to give the rookie Owens some trouble this evening. The Rays get a park upgrade playing in Fenway and Vegas has this over/under set at 9. In a fairly small sample this season, Owens has allowed a .403 wOBA and .513 slugging percentage to left-handed hitters.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for FanDuel
Gio Gonzalez (SP, WAS) - $9,600
Gio is pretty moderately priced on the board and I like his potential for a 5+ strikeout game and even a win. He has pitched very well at home this season, holding opposing batters to a .256 batting average and .360 slugging percentage. He's also posted more than eight strikeouts per nine innings of work and has done an excellent job of keeping the ball in the yard, as told by his 0.42 HR/9. Tonight, he faces an Orioles offense striking out in 26% of their at-bats against left-handed pitching.
Tyson Ross (SP, SD) - $9,100
As a tournament option, I really like Tyson tonight. He gets a somewhat depleted Giants offense in his home, pitcher-friendly ballpark in San Diego. He, too, does a great job of keeping the ball in the yard and his 9.59 strikeouts per nine innings is a very impressive mark. The Giants order he faces strikes out in just over 25% of their at-bats against right-handed pitching and owns just a .269 wOBA.
DFS Infielders to Consider for FanDuel
Francisco Cervelli (C, PIT) - $2,900
Cervelli isn't a big power hitter, but I love the price as well as the fact he gets a Coors Field bump tonight and hits right-handed pitching much better than he does southpaws. Rusin is nothing special, and he'll have his hands full with Cervelli, who owns a .391 wOBA and .506 slugging percentage against LHP this season.
Eric Hosmer (1B, KC) - $2,800
As always, there are some solid options at first base tonight. However, at this price and with this matchup, I'm comfortable rolling with Hoz and spending my money elsewhere. Hosmer is particularly strong against right-handed pitching, posting a .392 wOBA and .518 slugging percentage against the group this season.
Logan Forsythe (2B, TB) - $3,700
I know above I mention stacking left-handed hitters from the Rays, but even as a righty, Forsythe may be the perfect guy to pair with their LHB. He has a monster .422 wOBA and .316 ISO against lefties this season.
Jed Lowrie (3B, HOU) - $2,800
I wonder if Jed's eyes light up when he faces left-handed pitching the way mine do when he's facing left-handed pitching and priced at 2,800. It's a short sample size, but the numbers that he's posted against LHP this season - .458 wOBA and .333 ISO - don't even seem real.
Xander Bogaerts (SS, BOS) - $3,700
Looking for a hot hitter with strong splits? I present to you the X man. Xander is hitting .375 with two home runs over the past week and he's got great splits - .401 wOBA, .485 slugging - to boot.
DFS Outfielders to Consider for FanDuel
Curtis Granderson (OF, NYM) - $3,400
I can't resist Curtis facing a pitcher (Wisler) that gets completely shelled by left-handed hitters. For the season, Granderson has posted real strong numbers against RHP, such as .378 wOBA and .227 ISO. At this price, I'm going to have a lot of Granderson shares.
Michael Conforto (OF, NYM) - $2,700
I definitely thought the sub 3k price tag was a misprint, especially after he went deep last night. Conforto, like Granderson, faces a pitcher who struggles mightily with left-handed hitters. His numbers are even stronger - .410 wOBA and .272 ISO - against right-handed pitching.
George Springer (OF, HOU) - $3,300
Springer is yet another bargain this evening. Hector Santiago has been solid, but the numbers for Springer against LHP - .426 wOBA and .267 ISO - are too strong and the price is too favorable for me to consider bumping him out of my lineup.
