Jamie's best MLB player prop bets for today (6/1/2026). Bet his home run props (HR props) and win money betting on MLB player props, including Mike Trout, James Wood, and others!
It's June, RotoBallers! As the calendar turns over, this is often the time when the weather starts to heat up, and we get a definite shift in offensive production. This past weekend was an eventful one around the league. The Yankees put up a 13-spot in the third inning yesterday (batting around twice), Ronald Acuna Jr. hit his fifth homer in four games, and Fernando Tatis Jr. FINALLY got on the board (and I bet it at +570!).
The new week starts with only nine games, but there are plenty of spots to put our HR prop bets to the test. Multiple teams have IRTs shooting past five runs, and below you'll find a couple of real long-shot bets if you're feeling saucy. Be sure to hop into our RotoBaller Discord for all your betting and DFS needs.
Below, you'll be able to read about my favorite home run props from MLB games on Monday, June 1, 2026. The current odds given reflect the best price as of the time of publication, but remember to always shop around at other sportsbooks so you can get the most value on your home run wagers. Odds can vary significantly from one sportsbook to another.
MLB Prop Bets - Today's Home Run Prop Picks (6/1/2026)
Mike Trout OVER 0.5 Home Runs (+337, Novig)
With the Angels sporting an implied run total (IRT) over 5.5 runs, you'd think this tilt against the Rockies was actually being played at Coors Field! The fact that it's not is really a testament to how bad Kyle Freeland has been and also how good the Angels are hitting in the platoon split.
Freeland has an 8.08 ERA and 1.85 WHIP on the season, and has allowed a .260 ISO and 2.6 HR/9. There is still some downside to attacking him as he does continue to miss bats at a fairly adequate rate (19.3%), but there should be no fear in taking some shots at some Angels to go long. Mike Trout is in vintage form right now and looks to be in a prime spot here.
Trout is barreling lefties at a 20% rate (almost double that of hit southpaw-killing teammate Zach Neto, who is also a good bet today), and has a .390 wOBA and .199 ISO against them since the beginning of last season. Trout is rocking a .903 OPS on the season and a 16.4% barrel rate at home.

James Wood OVER 0.5 Home Runs (+350, BetMGM)
James Wood homered again yesterday against a righty, which is going to shorten the odds on him even more today. Still, +350 for a guy who is thumping the ball as hard as Wood is a solid bet to run it back with. He's averaging over 101 mph exit velocity on batted balls in his last five games against righties.
James Wood hits an absolute rocket to the stands 😮

Wood has been a terror all season long, with a 29.4% Barrel%, .960 OPS, .276 ISO, and an insane 51% HardHit%. He has a 31.3% barrel rate and .581 SLG against RHP, and yesterday was his 12th homer (out of 16) this season against a right-handed pitcher.
Sandy Alcantara has allowed nine long balls this year, and seven of them have come from lefties. He's also allowed a .204 ISO to southpaws while only striking out 14.8% of them. It's not exactly hitting weather in Washington tonight, but I'm counting on Wood's pure power to mitigate any weather downgrades.
