Jamie's best MLB player prop bets for today (4/27/2026). Bet his home run props (HR props) and win money betting on MLB player props, including Shohei Ohtani, Ben Rice, and more!
Happy Monday, RotoBallers! It's been a bit since I've written, as I was enjoying a sunny Florida vacation with the family this past week. It was nice to unplug for a while, but we're back at it today with a fresh week of baseball ahead. I wasn't as tuned in the past week as I usually am, but the Mets' collapse has been absolute cinema (disregard that last statement if you're a Mets fan).
The weather is cooler today than it's been, which may minimize offensive firepower, but we still have a couple of solid spots to attack. Be aware that the Yankees have called up Jasson Dominguez (it's likely Giancarlo Stanton will hit the IL soon). Dominguez does not have props released for him yet, but be sure to check. He's been raking in AAA, and he may get a crack at leadoff right in front of Aaron Judge and Ben Rice.
Below you'll read about my favorite home run props from MLB games on Monday, April 27, 2026. All odds are based on what was available at the time of publishing, so make sure to shop around and see if you can find better odds on other books throughout the day. Now let's get to the picks, already!
MLB Prop Bets - Today's Home Run Prop Picks (4/27/2026)
Shohei Ohtani OVER 0.5 Home Runs (+210 BetMGM)
We'll start off with the chalkiest of chalks that ever chalked. The Dodgers are the clear lead team to stack tonight in DFS, and that translates right over to HR prop betting as well. They're facing off against Chris Paddack, who has allowed a 42% HHR and 1.88 HR/9 over his last three starts. The wind is blowing out, and the Dodgers have an IRT of 5.5 runs.
You can obviously get longer odds with some of his Dodger teammates, but Shohei Ohtani is what he is for a reason. He's once again barreling righties at a 21.4% mark, and also carries a .465 wOBA, .320 ISO, and 150 wRC+ against them since the beginning of last year.
Ohtani has been slumping lately, but he finally ended a 12-game homerless streak by going yard yesterday against the Cubs, and looks primed to begin another of his patented surges. The slump has lengthened his odds a bit (for him), so strike while the iron is hot. I don't hate dabbling in 2+ home runs for +1620 odds either.

Freddie Freeman OVER 0.5 Home Runs (+425 TheScore)
We're double-dipping with Dodgers today (say that five times fast), and you can conceivably roll out more of them against Chris Paddack. BvP truthers will look at Freddie Freeman's 1-f0r-12 career mark against Paddack and shy away, but that's not a legit BvP stat. The sample size isn't big enough, plus in those 12 at-bats, Freeman has not struck out once.
Since the beginning of last season, Freeman has a .439 wOBA and .238 ISO against RHP, and he's rocking a 15.6% barrel rate against them with a team-best 13.5% K rate. Freeman should bat second right behind Ohtani, giving the two of them the optimal amount of tries to go deep.
Freeman hasn't homered since 4/6 which is a bit alarming, but this is a get-right spot for any struggling Dodgers against Paddack. You can even slam both lefties on TheScore and DraftKings for a fun +1100 two-man parlay.
