Trevor Megill 2026 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Top Talent But Role Remains In Jeopardy
Trevor Megill solidified a breakout 2024 season and established himself as one of the league's best closers in 2025. Over the last two seasons, Megill has 51 saves with a 2.60 ERA. Only seven pitchers tallied more saves than Megill's 30 in 2025. He also struck out 110 batters in 93 1/3 innings in that time. Megill's 31.3% K% in 2025 ranked seventh among the 21 relievers with at least 20 saves. With a 3.08 xFIP and 2.93 SIERA, Megill's 2.49 ERA last year may regress this year. But not to the point that it should be too concerning. The concern should come from his role. The Brewers haven't shied away from trading their closer when their value is at its highest. With Abner Uribe lurking, the Brewers would more than likely be willing to trade away Megill if they received an offer they liked. Depending on where Megill landed, his role might mean his fantasy value takes a big hit. While he has the talent to justify being taken as a top 15 reliever in drafts, you shouldn't be heavily reliant on Megill for saves. Megill's 2026 fantasy value may be dependent on when he gets traded and where to.
