Eugenio Suarez 2026 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Consistent Power Hitter Set To Slug Again
After hitting 49 home runs last year, Eugenio Suarez returns to the club where he hit 49 homers in 2019. The move back to Cincinnati and their hitter-friendly ballpark should be a boost to Suarez, and another 40+ homer season is certainly plausible. Last year's 14.3% barrel% ranked in the 89th percentile, which went a long way to helping Suarez match his career-high in homers. Suarez's power is also aided by his availability. He's only missed seven games in the last three seasons and missed a total of 70 games over the last 10 seasons. Suarez will likely see a lot of time as the Reds designated hitter in 2026, so that should help the slugger remain healthy. As good as his situation is heading into this year, there is some caution surrounding Suarez. His .228 batting average was a drag on his fantasy value, and with a .211 xBA (expected batting average), it could've been worse. If Suarez does stay healthy, he could easily have a third straight season with 100 RBI and 90 runs. Another 40-homer season isn't out of the question. Just don't expect his batting average to improve much, if at all, and ensure the makeup of your roster can cope with it.
