Tyler Glasnow 2026 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Carries High Upside with Serious Injury Concerns
Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow has been very productive when on the bump, but has only logged more than 120 innings once in a single season since making his MLB debut back in 2016. In 2025, Glasnow logged only 90 1/3 innings but was a must-start pitcher when healthy, posting a 3.19 ERA and 1.10 WHIP. He struck out hitters at an elite 29.0% rate but allowed walks at an 11.7% rate, his highest rate since the 2018 campaign. However, he battled shoulder inflammation for nearly two months, which limited his opportunities. He returned for the postseason and looked like his typical self, posting a 1.69 ERA across 21 innings. This past summer, the right-hander opted to deploy his curveball more often (nearly a 4.0% jump from 2024) and saw success, as it posted a .161 xwOBA and a 44.6% whiff rate. which is an excellent sign heading into 2026. In 2024, Glasnow was even more impressive in his first season with the Dodgers, posting a 3.49 ERA, 0.95 WHIP, and a 168:35 K:BB across a career-best 134 innings. While his injury risk is a significant concern, he possesses immense strikeout upside while providing high-end ratios and wins, pitching for the Dodgers. Fantasy managers can acquire Glasnow's services at a surprising discount, given his injury-riddled 2025 season. He is currently going off the board at pick 129.4 in NFBC drafts since January 1. He is a high-upside selection at this price, as he could deliver SP2 upside if he returns his 2024 volume. However, managers should look to pair Glasnow with high-volume starters in case he has another lengthy stint on the injured list.
