Baylor, LSU, Miami Among Potential Suitors for DJ Lagway
According to On3Sports sources, Baylor, LSU, and Miami are among the programs to watch in the potential pursuit of Florida quarterback DJ Lagway, who is set to enter the transfer portal this offseason. Lagway is a Texas native, and his father, Derek, played running back at Baylor from 1997 to 2001. LSU and Miami were both top players in Lagway's initial recruitment as a five-star prospect in 2024, and both programs will need new starting quarterbacks with Garrett Nussmeier and Carson Beck departing. The 20-year-old is one of the most talented quarterbacks in the country, but he has yet to put it all together, and injuries have not helped his cause. Overall, Lagway has completed 62% of his passes for 4,179 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 23 interceptions in 24 career games.
