Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks

Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 14:

Alec Pierce, WR, Indianapolis Colts

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce has become a vital contributor to the Colts' offense over the last few weeks. While the Colts have lost three of their last four games, they've been in tough, hard-fought matchups against the Texans, Chiefs, Steelers, and Falcons.

In those four competitive games, Pierce has totaled 27 targets and hauled in 15 catches for a total of 303 yards and two touchdowns. He had a season-high 115 yards against the Steelers in that stretch and has produced at least 65+ yards in seven of his last nine contests.

As the Colts look to push for a playoff spot in the next few weeks, Pierce should continue to be heavily involved, and he brings a very high ceiling since he has emerged as the team's primary deep threat, posting an ADOT of 19.8 yards, which is the highest of any receiver in the NFL with more than 35 targets.

Nick Chubb, RB, Houston Texans

After starting the season as the lead running back for the Houston Texans, Nick Chubb has now ceded the RB1 role to Texans rookie back Woody Marks (foot). Still, Chubb gets his share of touches each week for Houston and scored his third rushing touchdown of the season in the team's Week 13 win over the Indianapolis Colts.

Perhaps most importantly for Chubb's production outlook, Marks briefly left the game against Indianapolis with a foot injury. While the 24-year-old was able to return and finish the contest, there's a chance the injury could linger and lead Houston to limit Marks' touches in Week 14 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Chubb's upside is limited, but he's logged six games with double-digit rush attempts this season and could find the end zone against the Chiefs. In deeper fantasy leagues, Chubb could be worth targeting on the waiver wire heading into Week 14.

Jordan Mason, RB, Minnesota Vikings

Running back Jordan Mason of the Minnesota Vikings enters a Week 14 game with some lineup appeal as an RB3/flex candidate with the Washington Commanders coming to U.S. Bank Stadium. The Vikings have struggled immensely in recent weeks, but could see a reprieve in the form of a lowly ranked Commanders defense.

Through 13 weeks, Washington is allowing scoring drives on nearly 49% of opposing possessions -- the worst rate in the NFL -- and ranks 29th overall against half-PPR running backs. That could line up well for Mason, who may see more work if Aaron Jones Sr. (shoulder) sees any issues with his lingering injury, though it bears mentioning that Jones does not carry an injury designation despite leaving last week's loss at Seattle.

Minnesota will see the return of starting quarterback J.J. McCarthy (concussion) and likely will lean on the running game to aid the struggling passing attack. Relying on any Viking at the moment comes with risk, but the setting is good enough to consider playing Mason in Week 14.

Travis Etienne, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne Jr. has been one of the most consistently productive backs in the NFL so far this season, recording 1,016 scrimmage yards and seven touchdowns across 12 games. The 26-year-old has recorded at least 15 touches in 10 out of 12 contests and scored four touchdowns over the last four weeks.

Jaguars rookie running back Bhayshul Tuten has played a role as the team's RB2 and looked like he might be pushing Etienne Jr. for playing time when he recorded 15 carries in Week 11 against the Los Angeles Chargers. However, in the two weeks since that game, Etienne Jr. has out-touched Tuten 31 to 16 and out-snapped him 71 to 31.

Etienne Jr. appears to still have a firm grasp on the RB1 role in Jacksonville and profiles as a high-end fantasy RB2 heading into a Week 14 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts.

Blake Corum, RB, Los Angeles Rams

Los Angeles Rams running back Blake Corum had his best game of the season in Week 13, rushing for 81 yards and a touchdown on just seven carries. While the Rams were upset by the Carolina Panthers, Corum was a bright spot in the loss and is continuing to make an impact on this Rams' rushing attack.

Earlier in the season, head coach Sean McVay expressed that he wanted the backfield to be a 65/35 split between starter Kyren Williams and Corum, and that has been the case this season. While Williams has been efficient in 2025, Corum has significantly cut into his workload and made a strong impact of his own.

The Rams face the struggling Cardinals' run defense in Week 14, which has allowed double-digit fantasy points to every starting running back they've faced in 2025. While it's a full-blown committee in Los Angeles, both backs carry starting fantasy value in Week 14.

Keaton Mitchell, RB, Baltimore Ravens

Baltimore Ravens running back Keaton Mitchell scored for the first time this year in last Thursday's Thanksgiving Day loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. Mitchell was extremely efficient with his limited opportunities on Turkey Day, taking two carries for 19 yards and a touchdown while picking up 12 receiving yards on his two receptions (three targets).

The 23-year-old third-year back only played 13% of the offensive snaps as Baltimore's RB3, though, behind Rasheen Ali (48% snap share) and Derrick Henry (40%). Mitchell had a nice 18-yard touchdown scamper against the Bengals and has intriguing explosiveness out of the backfield, but right now he's stuck as the No. 3 option in the Ravens' backfield, making him a hard sell for a roster spot in 12-team fantasy leagues.

Keaton Mitchell has added value in leagues that include return yardage on special teams. Mitchell had 91 return yards on three kickoffs in Week 13.

Chris Olave, WR, New Orleans Saints

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave (back) is officially listed as questionable for Week 14's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Olave was held out of Wednesday's practice before being a limited participant on Thursday and Friday, a similar progression to last week when he was ultimately able to suit up against the Miami Dolphins.

The 25-year-old didn't seem affected by the injury last week, posting his normal route share and recording four catches for 47 yards and a touchdown on seven targets in the loss to Miami.

He is trending toward playing through the injury again and profiles as a top-10 wide receiver option for Sunday's matchup against the division-rival Buccaneers. In the first meeting with Tampa on Oct. 26, Olave had eight catches on 12 targets for 63 yards.
