Bucky Irving Will be on a Snap Count When he Returns
Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard said that running back Bucky Irving (foot, shoulder) won't be asked to play a full number of snaps when he is cleared to play, according to Scott Smith of Buccaneers.com. With how much time Irving has missed (out since Week 4), Grizzard described it as "unfair to immediately ask him to play 50 snaps," and that they will see how much the second-year RB can handle as he makes his way back. The 23-year-old was listed as a limited participant in practice every day in Week 11 before being ruled out again for their matchup against the Bills, and he's been present for both practices so far this week. It looks like Irving will have a shot to play in Week 12 against the Rams on Sunday Night Football, but it's also feasible that the Bucs hold him out for his seventh straight game to ensure he is fully healthy. If he doesn't play, Sean Tucker is expected to see more reps after his breakout game in Week 11, with Rachaad White staying involved as well. UPDATE: Irving was limited in practice again on Thursday.
