Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule has been quickly linked to the head coaching job at Penn State after the program fired James Franklin following a three-game Big Ten losing skid. Rhule was a Penn State linebacker from 1994 to 1997 and got his coaching career started as a volunteer assistant under Joe Paterno. However, Rhule shot down interest in a recent statement: "I'm not going to talk a lot about job openings when they come," Rhule said. "I'm not going to talk about my contract here... I absolutely love it here. I want to continue to take the steps needed to turn this place into a beast." In his 10th season as a collegiate head coach between tenures at Temple, Baylor, and Nebraska, Rhule has compiled a 64-57 record. He's viewed as a program builder thanks to his 26-8 combined record in his third season at each program. It remains to be seen if Rhule would take the Penn State job if offered, but he would not leave Nebraska until at least after the regular season concludes in late November.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBallerRead More News
