Time to Drop Jerry Jeudy? Fantasy Football Week 5 Waiver Wire Outlook (2025)

Jerry Jeudy - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Should I drop Jerry Jeudy for fantasy football Week 5? Is Jerry Jeudy a safe player to cut? Read the fantasy football waivers outlook.

It has been a rough start to the year for Jerry Jeudy. He's getting the volume, but the results have been lackluster in a frustrating Cleveland offense.

Drops and shaky quarterback play aren't doing Jeudy any favors. Even when the targets come his way, the production hasn't followed.

So what are you supposed to do with a player you drafted to lead your team? Jeudy is still the WR1 in Cleveland, but that doesn't mean he belongs in your lineup right now.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Should I Drop Jerry Jeudy in Fantasy Football?

Week 4 was another frustrating one, as Jeudy brought in just three catches on nine targets for 48 yards in Cleveland's 34-10 loss to Detroit. He led the team in targets but couldn't capitalize with a struggling Joe Flacco.

The wideout has seen at least eight targets in three of four contests, but the production hasn't followed, and drops are piling up.

The former Pro Bowler had at least one drop in three different contests and let a fourth-quarter pass slip through his hands in Week 4.

He later owned up to his mistake in a heated, expletive-filled postgame interview, so at least we know he's not just shrugging it off.

Jeudy has averaged 3.3 receptions and 45.5 yards per game this year. Not what we were expecting from a player who caught 90 balls for 1,229 yards and four scores last season.

With the Browns' offense averaging a paltry 12.3 points per matchup, there's little room for receivers to contribute. Flacco is a turnover machine, tossing two picks in Week 4, which also hinders his weapons.

Looking ahead to Week 5, the matchup isn't ideal. The Browns travel to London to take on a Minnesota defense that permits the fewest fantasy points to wide receivers this season. They've also given up only two touchdowns to the position.

Until things turn around in Cleveland, Jeudy should be viewed as a WR3 or flex, but if you can afford to bench him, you should.

Who Should I Pickup for Fantasy Football?

If you choose to sit Jeudy this week or just want options, you'll need to check waivers. Injuries across the league, including the fresh loss of Malik Nabers and Tyreek Hill, have opened up a few intriguing options. The waiver wire is thin, but sometimes all you need is a Band-Aid to hold you over for a week.

With Malik Nabers (knee) done for the year, Wan'Dale Robinson becomes the passing game's top weapon. He's already rostered in many leagues, but if available, he deserves a spot on your squad.

Darius Slayton is a sneaky grab who is heavily available in leagues. He led the Giants in Week 4, catching three passes for 44 yards. Slayton stepped in when Nabers went down last season, so he's a worthy WR3 or flex option in deeper formats.

If you're looking for a rookie stash, keep an eye on Cleveland's rookie Isaiah Bond. Now, he's on the same roster as Jeudy, and no Cleveland pass catcher has been lights out this season.

Bond led the Browns with 48 yards against Detroit with Tillman sidelined, but this passing game is still too flawed to start him at the moment. Still, he's stash-worthy if you have the room.

Turning the focus to Miami, Hill's season-ending knee injury thrusts Jaylen Waddle back into the WR1 role he once held. Someone else will need to get involved through the air, and Malik Washington and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine are candidates for more work.

Washington looks to benefit the most from Hill's absence. He didn't do much once Hill went down, but Miami didn't need to throw as much in that contest. Both of these Dolphins' stocks are up, but they're also "wait-and-see" players.
