Buffalo Sabres goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen (lower body) is considered day-to-day. Luukkonen reported to training camp with a minor injury, and it looks like it will take some time before he can fully participate in practice sessions. Buffalo signed Alexandar Georgiev to a one-year deal last week, in case Luukkonen's injury is more serious than initially feared. "There's no alarms right now saying that it's a significant injury [to Luukkonen]," Sabres general manager Kevyn Adams said Wednesday. "There was a tweak that he just didn't feel great. So, we just have to make sure that we protect ourselves." As Buffalo's starting goaltender, Luukkonen finished last season with a 24-24-5 record, allowing 3.20 goals with a .887 save percentage and two shutouts.--Taavi Pailk
