Minnesota Vikings safety Harrison Smith (illness) is inactive for Sunday's Week 2 contest against the Atlanta Falcons. He had been limited in practice this week but ultimately will not play. This is the second game in a row for which Smith has been sidelined, which means his season debut will have to wait at least one more week. Theo Jackson is expected to start at safety in his absence.--Andersen Pickard
