Moises Ballesteros to Join MLB Roster
The Chicago Cubs are expected to promote top catching prospect Moises Ballesteros to the MLB roster. Ballesteros earned his first taste of the major leagues earlier this season but only appeared in five games. However, with left fielder Ian Happ (shin) suffering an injury during their contest against the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday evening, the 21-year-old could have a clear path to consistent playing time during his second stint. Fantasy managers should expect Seiya Suzuki to shift from the DH spot to left field, which will open a position for Ballesteros. Ballesteros could also see time behind the dish alongside Carson Kelly and Reese McGuire. At Triple-A this season, Ballesteros has been one of the most dominant hitters, boasting a .332/.393/.496 slash line with nine home runs. He is worth adding in all two-catcher leagues.
