Josh Lowe Launches Fourth Homer
Josh Lowe went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Monday's 7-1 win against the visiting Baltimore Orioles. Lowe scored twice, drew a walk, and notched a sacrifice bunt. The Virginia native blasted a leadoff home run in the bottom of the first inning off the Orioles' Zack Eflin -- his fourth of the season -- to give the Rays a 1-0 lead, and they never looked back. Lowe's .241/.317/.407 triple slash isn't that of your typical leadoff man. However, the Rays run him out there more often than not. Furthermore, he's underperforming his .282 xBA by a good margin (.241). That also shows up in his career-low .286 BABIP -- over 50 points lower than he sported in 2024 (.338).
