Garrett Mitchell Resumes Baseball Activities
Garrett Mitchell (oblique) has resumed baseball activities, according to the team. The Brewers have gone about a month and a half without Mitchell, who went on the 10-day injured list on April 26 with a left oblique strain. If all goes well during his rehab, he could return to the majors in late June. The 26-year-old hit a productive .255/.342/.469 with six home runs in 11 steals over a 69-game, 224-plate appearance span in 2024. However, Mitchell slumped to a .206/.286/.294 mark with no homers in 25 games and 78 trips to the plate before suffering the injury this year. Mitchell opened the season as the Brewers' primary center fielder, but Jackson Chourio has shifted from left field to take his place.
