Hunter Greene Lands on the Injured List With Groin Injury
Hunter Greene (groin) on the 15-day injured list with a right-groin strain and signed Wade Miley in a corresponding move, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports. The hard-throwing right-hander was removed from the game on Tuesday, as he felt his groin grab on the final two pitches. This will now be his second trip to the injured list with the same right-groin injury. According to Greene, "It's not really concerning, it's frustrating." Greene is having one of his best seasons of his career, making a push to be a Cy Young Award contender with a 2.72 ERA and 73 strikeouts in 59 2/3 innings pitched. But for now, he will miss his next few starts and target a mid-June return date. In the meantime, fantasy managers will want to stash him on their IL and look elsewhere for production.
