C.J. Kayfus Goes Deep on Tuesday
C.J. Kayfus went 1-for-4 with a home run during their contest against Triple-A Toledo on Tuesday. This was Kayfus' third-straight tallying at least one hit and adding at least one RBI. However, he was riding a 10-game power skid entering Tuesday's contest. The 23-year-old opened the season with Double-A but needed just 18 games to prove he was ready to move to the top level of the minor leagues. At Double-A, he held a stellar .364/.475/.591 line with four doubles and one home run. Through his first 28 games at the Triple-A, Kayfus has looked quite comfortable, posting a .327/.397/.570 slash line with seven doubles and five long balls. Given his impressive start to the season, Kayfus remains on track to make his MLB debut later this summer.
