Kevin McGonigle Extends Hitting Streak to Seven Games
Kevin McGonigle extended his hitting streak to seven games on Sunday during their contest against High-A Dayton. In this outing, McGonigle went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI. During this seven-game stretch, the No. 2-ranked prospect in Detroit (only behind Max Clark) has posted an impressive .595/.686/.926 slash line. McGonigle recently got the call to High-A and has been swinging a hot bat. Through his first 10 games with High-A West Michigan, the 20-year-old has tallied 18 hits with eight doubles and an impressive 3:11 K:BB. He began the campaign with Low-A, where he posted a .235/.350/.353 line across six contests. Given his hot start to the season, fantasy managers should keep a close eye on his development as he will likely move up to Double-A in the second half.
