Collin Morikawa Looking to Change Recent Trends at Memorial Tournament
Since the Masters, Collin Morikawa has struggled to keep things steady over his last four starts. A leaky short game was beginning to rear its head in Georgia, but after averaging -0.216 in strokes gained around the green over his last five starts, it's clearly the most concerning part ahead of a difficult test at Jack's place. He wasn't sharp at the PGA Championship in the ball-striking department, but the asks at Muirfield are much different than the ones for Quail Hollow. While he's never won this particular event in five career starts despite two runner-up finishes, he did win the Workday Charity Open here in 2020 against a slightly weaker field than the one on property this week. While the concerns are still hanging around for the two-time major champion, he makes for an excellent pick at a course tailor-made for his style of play.
