MLB Parlays Today - Best Same Game Parlay Picks (5/6/2025)

Bobby Witt Jr. - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

Thunder Dan Palyo's MLB picks and parlays. Read his same game parlay picks for May 6, 2025 (5/6/2025). Check back daily for free MLB same game parlays and expert picks.

Tuesdays might be my favorite day for Major League Baseball bets! All 30 teams are in action tonight, so we have 15 games to choose our favorite bets, props, and parlays.

While making straight bets on game outcomes and player props is a solid approach to sustainable betting, building MLB same-game parlays using a combination of bets and props is another fun way to get some action on the games. Everyone has their own risk tolerance and odds goals when building parlays, but I tend to focus on fewer legs to create parlays with lower odds but higher hit rates.

This article will feature my favorite MLB same-game parlays for Tuesday, May 6, 2025. I'll be using DraftKings Sportsbook to find the best betting odds for today's MLB picks, but you should shop around to find the best values where you can.

What Are Same Game Parlays?

Same game parlays are specific bets that allow bettors to combine multiple bets from the same game. These bets can be wagers on the outcome of the game, the specific performance of just one team, or the performance of individual players.

Every book is different, but most books allow bettors to choose from a wide variety of bets in same game parlays, including alternate bets where the bettor can move the posted line up or down on each bet to increase or decrease the odds.

A same game parlay must have at least two legs, and the odds increase as each additional leg is added to the bet slip. Bettors can be as safe or as aggressive with these bets as they like, but in this article, I will be mainly focusing on three or four-leg parlays with less risk.

MLB Same Game Parlay Picks Today (5/6/2025)

The moneyline and game total numbers are listed in parentheses for each game.

  • Los Angeles Dodgers (-278) at Miami Marlins (9.5 O/U)
  • Chicago White Sox (+190) at Kansas City Royals (8.5 O/U)
  • Seattle Mariners (+105) at Athletics (9.5 O/U)

MLB Parlays Today: Best Same Game Parlays

Los Angeles Dodgers at Miami Marlins

Starting Pitchers: Tony Gonsolin (LAD) vs. Cal Quantrill (MIA)

We start the slate with one of the biggest mismatches on the board. The Dodgers beat Miami 7-4 last night and have scored 41 runs against the Fish over their previous four meetings - all wins.

We saw this exact same matchup last week, with Tony Gonsolin making his 2025 debut, in which he struck out nine Marlins over six innings. The Dodger bats put up 12 runs in that game, chasing Cal Quantrill in the fourth inning and then pounding the Miami bullpen.

It's difficult to imagine that this game doesn't end somewhat similarly to that one. The Dodgers' offense is stacked with elite hitters, and their two best lefties (Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman) are red hot. Freeman has dominated Quantrill to a .529 average in his career over 17 at-bats. Max Muncy has had some success, too, hitting .364 against Quantrill, including a home run in last week's game.

This is a game where you could get very aggressive with multiple hitter props and/or some higher strikeout numbers for Gonsolin, but I built my variation very conservatively. Feel free to adjust the risk as you see fit. I love the matchups here for Gonsolin, Ohtani, Freeman, and I think the Dodgers win (and cover) with relative ease while putting up quite a few runs against Quantrill (6.74 xERA) and the Miami bullpen (4.82 ERA, 1.53 WHIP).

  • Dodgers Moneyline
  • Tony Gonsolin 4+ Strikeouts
  • Freddie Freeman 1+ Hits
  • Dodgers Team Total over 4.5 Runs

Entire Parlay odds: +140 (DraftKings Sportsbook)

Chicago White Sox at Kansas City Royals

Starting Pitchers: Sean Burke (CWS) vs. Seth Lugo (KCR)

With so many games to choose from, why not attack another potentially lopsided outcome with the Royals installed as heavy home favorites against the lowly White Sox?

The White Sox send righty Sean Burke to the mound to take on a Kansas City offense that is finally warming up. His 7.53 xERA and 15.2% barrel rate are among the worst marks on the slate, and he's shown some reverse splits this season, putting me onto the right-handed KC hitters.

Seth Lugo is pitching for the Royals and is coming off his two best starts of the season. He's not a big strikeout guy, but is a very solid veteran pitcher who can shut down this White Sox offense that ranks 28th in the league in wRC+ against RHP.

My same game parlay in this game is going to focus on two hot Royals hitters and the high likelihood of a Kansas City victory behind a strong outing from Lugo.

Bobby Witt Jr. has two hits in his last two games, including a double in both games, and is now hitting .321 on the season. I will take him over 1.5 total bases so we can cash with either two singles or any one extra base hit.

The other hitter we are rolling with here is the red-hot Maikel Garcia, who has a hit in seven of his last eight games. He's got seven hits over just his last three games! As tempting as it is to bet on multiple hits or bases, I am just taking him here to get one hit.

  • Kansas City ML
  • Maikel Garcia 1+ Hits
  • Bobby Witt Jr. 2+ Total Bases

Entire parlay odds: +172 (DraftKings Sportsbook)

Seattle Mariners at Athletics

Starting Pitchers: Emerson Hancock (SEA) vs. Jeffrey Springs (ATH)

This game catches my eye for offense, as I don't think either starting pitcher is very good, and both of these teams have been hitting the ball well recently. We also have the small dimensions of Sutter Health Park to help aid the offenses.

Hancock has a 6.62 ERA across four starts and one of the lowest SwStr% on the board at just 7.9%. Meanwhile, Springs has pitched a bit better recently, but has been very bad at home with a 7.20 ERA across 15 innings at Sutter Health Park.

Seattle ranks eighth in wRC+ against lefties, while the Athletics are tenth against RHP. The two teams had much better pitchers on the mound last night and the game still cruised over it's total with 13 runs scored.

I don't have a favorite hitter for total bases, but I love the contact that Tyler Soderstrom and Jacob Wilson are making. Wilson is a hits machine who had three last night and has only a handful of games this season in which he hasn't had a hit.

Soderstrom has a hit in five of his last six.

I am not moving the game total down here, to keep our odds high. I think these teams can score ten runs tonight, the matchups are favorable and they are both trending in the right direction against the opposing pitchers' handedness.

  • Game Total over 9.5 runs
  • Tyler Soderstrom 1+ Hits
  • Jacob Wilson 1+ Hits

Entire Parlay odds: +194 (DraftKings Sportsbook)

Whether you're chasing value or just looking to have some fun with tonight’s full MLB slate, building a same-game parlay is a great way to combine your favorite bets into one ticket. With smart selections and some strategy, MLB parlays can add excitement and upside to your baseball betting experience.

From strong pitching matchups to hot hitters, there's no shortage of angles to target — remember to manage your risk and shop for the best lines. Good luck with your bets, and enjoy the games tonight!
