He is a strict platoon player, seeing only 42 plate appearances against lefties, but he was nothing short of elite in the lineup versus righties. The slugger crushed the baseball with a 93rd percentile average exit velocity of 92.3 mph and walked at an elite rate of 12.2%. This resulted in a .378 xwOBA that ranked in the top five percent of the league. Now, in Texas, he'll get to hit in the heart of the order, surrounded by the likes of Corey Seager, Wyatt Langford, and Adolis Garcia. ATC is projecting him to slash .247/.349/.471 with 21 home runs, 59 RBI, and 57 runs in 429 plate appearances. It's hard to use Pederson in weekly leagues, but he makes for a great late-round pick in leagues with daily lineup changes where you replace him when a lefty is on the mound.
