Dynasty Fantasy Football Trade Targets: 5 Veteran Wide Receivers to Buy Low Now (2025)

Calvin Ridley - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL DFS Picks, Draft Sleepers

Five veteran wide receivers to target and buy in 2025 dynasty fantasy football trades: Davante Adams, Terry McLaurin, Calvin Ridley, Chris Godwin, and Mike Evans.

Do you think your dynasty fantasy football roster is good enough to compete for a ring? If your answer is yes, then maybe you should start looking at adding some veterans who can help your team right now.

Yes, fantasy managers usually target younger players in dynasty leagues, but sometimes you have to make a bold move for a veteran to get over the hump. Most WRs usually fall off after their age-28 season, but in this article, we'll cover some wideouts over that age who are still elite and could help your dynasty team become an instant contender.

Without further ado, let's look at five veteran WRs (over the age of 28) who you should target in 2025 dynasty fantasy football leagues.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Mike Evans, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Don't get it twisted, Mike Evans is still getting it done. He'll be 32 next season, and the production of most WRs falls off big time once they turn 32. However, we all know that Evans is not your average wide receiver.

The future Hall of Famer won't give you 150+ targets and 1,500+ yards, but he will always give you 1,000 yards and a boatload of touchdowns, which is why he always finishes high in fantasy football. Evans has averaged 119 targets, 1,085 yards, and 11 touchdowns per season since 2020.

Additionally, he always comes up big in the fantasy playoffs. In the PPR format during the fantasy playoffs, Evans finished as the WR3 in 2024, WR9 in 2023, WR3 in 2022, and WR4 in 2020.

Baker Mayfield is still in town, and Evans will be his favorite target in a dynamic Buccaneers offense. He also has two other things in his favor this year.

He's in a contract year and is chasing one last big payday, and he's also looking to record his 12th consecutive 1,000-yard season, which will break Jerry Rice's record. Despite his age, Evans looks set to have another great year in 2025, barring any injuries.

Chris Godwin, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Bucs don't have just one consistent WR who puts up elite numbers in the fantasy playoffs. Evans' partner in crime, Chris Godwin, is about to turn 29 in a few days (as of the time of writing), but he's currently chasing a big contract this offseason.

Godwin averaged 1,050 yards per season from 2021 to 2023, which included back-to-back PPR WR7 finishes during the fantasy playoffs in 2022 and 2023. He started the 2024 season on fire, averaging 82.3 yards per game through seven games and being neck-and-neck with Ja'Marr Chase in the overall fantasy WR1 race before getting hurt.

Godwin would fit seamlessly wherever he goes, and he has been linked to teams such as the Raiders, Broncos, and Jaguars, but staying with the Bucs seems likely.

He agreed to extend the void year on his contract, which would give both sides more time to reach an extension. The only real knock on Godwin is his injury history, as he missed two or more games every year from 2019 to 2022 before missing most of the 2024 season.

If he can stay healthy, he can help you win a fantasy championship.

Calvin Ridley, WR, Tennessee Titans

Calvin Ridley isn't like most 30-year-old wideouts. Due to an extended absence from the game from the middle of the 2021 season to the end of the 2022 season, Ridley has only played in 83 regular-season games.

Because of that, he doesn't have the wear and tear and mileage that most 30-year-old players do. This is probably the main reason why he's been able to perform at a high level despite his age since being reinstated.

Ridley has put up back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons with the Jaguars and Titans and was especially impressive last season. A slow start, bad quarterback play, and even a stint on the bench weren't enough to derail him.

From Week 8 to 18, Ridley finished as the standard format WR14. He did this with Will Levis and Mason Rudolph throwing him the football, so imagine what he can do with a star QB.

The Titans have the first overall pick in this year's NFL Draft and look poised to select a franchise quarterback. Their new signal-caller will likely target Ridley a lot, as he's the only real star offensive playmaker on the team.

Terry McLaurin, WR, Washington Commanders

Chris Godwin had already played in 32 NFL games before Terry McLaurin made his NFL debut, and yet McLaurin is the older of the pair, as he'll turn 30 this season. Despite his age, McLaurin is coming off the best fantasy season of his career.

"Scary Terry" averaged 1,091 yards per year from 2020 to 2023, but he never became a top fantasy option due to his lack of touchdown catches (an average of five per year).

But that all changed when Jayden Daniels came to town, and McLaurin caught 13 touchdowns in 2024, leading to a fantasy WR5 finish (standard) and a second-team All-Pro nod.

The Commanders will definitely look to add more receivers in the offseason, but McLaurin will likely remain as Daniels' main target for a couple more years. Another thing you should consider is McLaurin's durability.

He rarely gets hurt, as he's only missed three games in his NFL career, and hasn't missed a game in four seasons. As Daniels grows as a passer, McLaurin's numbers will get even better, making him the perfect short-term buy for contending fantasy teams.

Davante Adams, WR, Free Agent

The 2024 Jets were an absolute dumpster fire, but don't let that distract you from the fact that Davante Adams had a pretty good season. Adams arrived in New York in Week 7 and really got going from Week 9, as he averaged 85.6 yards per game and scored seven touchdowns in nine games.

Those numbers led to fantasy success, as he averaged the third-most PPR points during that stretch (20.1), only behind Mike Evans and Ja'Marr Chase. Adams was recently cut by the Jets, and many teams are lining up for his services.

The Steelers and Bills are reportedly the leading suitors, but he'll most likely join Aaron Rodgers' next team. Adams put up All-Pro numbers with a dysfunctional franchise, and even though he'll turn 33 next year, he still looks as sharp as ever.

Adams is also very durable for his age, as he rarely misses games due to injury and can perform through minor injuries. Most WRs become non-factors after the age of 32, but Adams' talent speaks for itself, and we should give him the benefit of the doubt.
