Where Will Aaron Rodgers Play in 2025? Five Potential Landing Spots This Offseason

Aaron Rodgers - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Where will Aaron Rodgers play in 2025? Joey Pollizze looks at five potential spots where Aaron Rodgers could play next season after his likely departure from the Jets.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers has spent the past two years with the New York Jets. However, his time in New York appears to be over. According to Fox Sports NFL insider Jay Glazer, Rodgers will not return to the team for the 2025-26 season.

Even though Rodgers has one more year left on his deal, the Jets will likely cut the veteran quarterback this offseason. That means the 41-year-old will have the freedom to play anywhere he wants next year.

So, where will Rodgers play in 2025? Let's dive into five potential landing spots for the future Hall of Famer.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers will surely be looking to add multiple quarterbacks in the coming months. With Russell Wilson and Justin Fields both set to become free agents, the Steelers could try to sign Rodgers this offseason.

If the Steelers decide to roll with Rodgers for the 2025 season, he would be the team's starter. This is certainly a potential landing spot for the veteran quarterback.

Las Vegas Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders are in desperate need of a quarterback this offseason. With Pete Carroll now the head coach, expect him to upgrade the quarterback room in some way this spring. Rodgers might be the perfect bridge quarterback for this team until it finds a franchise signal-caller.

The Raiders will likely draft a quarterback early in the 2025 NFL Draft. However, the team could still decide to add Rodgers and let the rookie learn from the sidelines for a year or two. This is surely a team that might be interested in the 41-year-old veteran.

New York Giants

It will be interesting to see what the New York Giants do at quarterback for the 2025 season. New York is the favorite to land Shedeur Sanders, but two teams in front of it (Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns) also need quarterbacks. So, there's a chance the Giants won't get Sanders in the 2025 NFL Draft.

That means the team could draft a project quarterback early in the draft and/or sign a veteran like Rodgers to mentor the rookie. It would be a shock to see the 41-year-old end his playing days with the Giants. However, wilder things have happened in the NFL in recent years.

Tennessee Titans

It will be interesting to see what the Tennessee Titans do with the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. If they take a quarterback, Rodgers will likely not end up in Tennessee. However, if they pass on Cam Ward and take Travis Hunter/Abdul Carter instead, the 20-year veteran could end up with the Titans.

The team doesn't seem to believe in Will Levis, and Rodgers would be a bridge quarterback for this franchise. If he signs here, he would be an upgrade over Levis.

Minnesota Vikings

This one might be a long shot, but maybe Rodgers is trying to follow the Brett Favre career path. Favre played for both the Jets and Vikings in his final three NFL seasons, and the future Hall of Famer could complete the cycle if he signs with Minnesota this offseason.

Now, this landing spot will likely depend on the Vikings' confidence in J.J. McCarthy for next season. If Minnesota wants McCarthy to sit out another year and learn from the sidelines, then signing Rodgers could make a lot of sense. He can be a mentor for the young quarterback in 2025.
