According to the team, Seattle Kraken center Yanni Gourde (abdomen) underwent sports hernia surgery on Friday. The team noted that the 33-year-old is expected to be sidelined five-to-seven weeks. Gourde has been battling a lower-body injury throughout the season and will now face a longer recovery timetable. Across 35 games, Gourde scored six goals and added 10 helpers with a -5 rating. He logged 58 hits and 26 blocks. As a result, fantasy managers should expect Matty Beniers and Chandler Stephenson to continue to operate as the top centers in the lineup. When Gourde does return, he will likely return to the third line.
