Edmonton Oilers center Connor McDavid has received a three-game suspension. The Oilers superstar must sit out the next few games for cross-checking Vancouver forward Conor Garland to the head during Saturday's 3-2 loss. This is the second suspension of McDavid's career. McDavid will be eligible to return to the lineup on Jan. 27 versus Seattle. Until then, Leon Draisaitl will take over first-line center duties, with Kasperi Kapanen likely filling the open spot in the lineup. Edmonton will play its first game without McDavid on Tuesday at home against Washington.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
