New York Islanders forward Mathew Barzal (upper-body) has traveled back to New York to see team doctors about an upper-body injury. Barzal played in Wednesday's game against Columbus, logging 22:46 TOI, but evidently something happened late in that game or the day after. Barzal will not play Friday against Buffalo and could be looking at a long-term injury based on the way the team is talking about it.
