The Chicago Bears had their best offensive performance of the year against Carolina this week, winning 36-10 with rookie quarterback Caleb Williams throwing for 304 yards.

Despite that, veteran wide receiver Keenan Allen finished fifth on the team in receiving yards, catching three passes for 33 yards.

Should I Drop Keenan Allen in Fantasy Football?

The addition of Allen was a big story this offseason. Allen was coming off a 2023 season with the Chargers that saw him catch 108 passes for 1,243 yards and seven touchdowns.

But Allen's move to the Bears hasn't gone very well. He's missed two games with injuries, but even factoring that in, it's been a disappointment. Allen has caught 10 passes for 81 yards so far.

In 2023, Allen averaged 95.6 receiving yards per game. In 2024, he's down to just 27.0 yards per contest.

So, should fantasy managers drop Allen? I wouldn't quite yet, but I'd probably give him only two more weeks to turn things around before I'd seriously consider it. I still believe in this talent, but he has to actually produce at some point.

Who Should I Pickup in Week 6 Fantasy Football?

Looking for a wide receiver who can produce on your roster this week? There are a number of key players out there for you to consider.

For example, Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Darnell Mooney is an option. Mooney was targeted 16 times on Thursday night, catching nine of those for 105 yards and two touchdowns. He now has 50 or more yards in four consecutive games.

Or there's Jakobi Meyers. With the Raiders likely set to trade Davante Adams soon, Meyers is the WR1 in Vegas. On Sunday against the Broncos, he was targeted nine times, catching six passes for 72 yards.

What about Jordan Whittington with the Rams? He has 18 targets over the past two games. Whittington is a strong fantasy WR3 play right now.

You don't need to drop Allen, but you can find players on the wire that you can start until we have a better idea of what to do with him.
