Week 5 Kicker Streamers, Starters & Rankings - 2024 Fantasy Tiers, Rankings

Evan McPherson - Fantasy Football Rankings, Kicker Streamers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Kacey Kasem looks at all 2024 fantasy football Week 5 kickers - streamers, starts, sits, targets, avoids, and waiver wire pickups. Our Week 5 rankings and tiers for all of the NFL kickers.

Four teams have a bye in Week 5, so you may need a replacement kicker. The Detroit Lions, Los Angeles Chargers, Philadelphia Eagles, and Tennessee Titans are all off this week. This means Jake Bates, Cameron Dicker, Jake Elliott, and Nick Folk need to be out of your starting lineup.

I have some solid streaming options if you are searching for a consistent kicker or just a reliable bye week fill-in. Whether your kicker has the week off or is struggling with consistency, now is the perfect time to find a better option.

It is time to dive into which kickers you should start and which ones to avoid in Week 5. Who will give your team a competitive edge? Let's kick it!

Kicker Streamers to Target for Week 5

Only players rostered in fewer than 60% of fantasy football leagues are considered streamers.

Austin Seibert (WAS) vs Cleveland Browns
3.6% Rostered on Sleeper

Austin Seibert is a solid kicker to stream this week. He faces the Cleveland Browns in Washington. After being released by the Browns, Seibert joined the Commanders before Week 2. This week could shape up to be a revenge game for the Oklahoma product. Yes, a kicker revenge game; I know, I know.

Quarterback Jayden Daniels has done a great job getting Seibert into scoring range. Washington’s offense is improving each week with Daniels under center. In Week 4, Seibert was perfect, going 2-for-2 on field goals and 4-for-4 on extra points in a win over the Cardinals.

With bye weeks starting, the Washington kicker is a strong streaming option. He is in an excellent spot to produce, making him a reliable choice to fill in at kicker this week.

Wil Lutz (DEN) vs Las Vegas Raiders
1.9% Rostered on Sleeper

Another kicker worth streaming this week is Wil Lutz of the Denver Broncos. He made 1-of-2 field goal attempts and hit one extra point in Denver's 10-9 win over the New York Jets in Week 4. It was a low-scoring game, limiting Lutz's chances to score. This week, he faces the Las Vegas Raiders, a defense tied for the fourth-most fantasy points given up to kickers this season.

Although Lutz missed his first field goal of the season last week, he has been reliable overall. The Georgia State product scored more than 10 fantasy points in two games this year. Going up against the Raiders at home, Lutz has an excellent opportunity to deliver.

Denver's offense has not been explosive, but the defense has kept them in games. The Raiders, meanwhile, are coming off a big loss to the Panthers and a narrow win over the Browns. Denver should be in a good position to add points to the board, putting the 30-year-old kicker in the streaming category for the week.

Eddy Pineiro (CAR) @ Chicago Bears
0.0% Rostered on Sleeper

Eddy Pineiro is a solid streaming option for Week 5 if you need kicker help. In Week 4, he made his only field goal attempt and converted all three of his extra points. The Florida alum has been perfect on his kicks this season, proving dependable commodity for fantasy managers.

He connected on his longest field goal of the season in Week 4, hitting a 48-yarder. With veteran quarterback Andy Dalton starting again in Week 5, Pineiro should continue to see opportunities. Dalton's experience and steady play should get Pineiro in range to score, making him a safe option.

Carolina's special teams coach Tracy Smith has praised Pineiro, calling him "reliable" and highlighting his calm demeanor under pressure. The Panthers face the Chicago Bears this week. The 29-year-old kicker is set to play a crucial role in what could be a competitive game.

Kickers to Avoid for Week 5

Brayden Narveson (GB) @ Los Angeles Rams
15.8% Rostered on Sleeper

In Week 4 against the Minnesota Vikings, the Green Bay Packers' Brayden Narveson struggled. Narveson only scored 1.00 fantasy points, missing two field goal attempts. He did make all three of his extra points. The Packers lost by two, and those misses played a role in the outcome.

The NC State product's Week 4 performance raises concerns heading into Week 5. Packers head coach Matt LaFleur has publicly backed Narveson, saying he still has confidence in him. However, there is always the chance he gets replaced, especially if he has a poor showing this week.

This week, Narveson faces the Los Angeles Rams. The Packers' offense should give him chances to score, but he has to make his kicks. With his recent struggles, it is worth watching closely to see if he can shake it off or if they carry over into Week 5.

Greg Zuerlein (NYJ) @ Minnesota Vikings
12.7% Rostered on Sleeper

Greg Zuerlein made three of four field goals in Week 4 and accounted for all of the Jets' points in their 10-9 loss to the Denver Broncos. However, he has missed two of his seven field goal attempts through four weeks, raising some concerns about his consistency. It is best to avoid the New York Jets kicker in Week 5.

This week, Zuerlein faces the Minnesota Vikings in London. The Vikings are giving up the fewest fantasy points to kickers, surrendering just three field goals and six extra points over the first four weeks.

It looks like a tough matchup for Zuerlein, especially considering his recent accuracy struggles. Then, there are the challenges of playing a game overseas. Looking for a more reliable option at kicker would be wise this week.
