Chase Briscoe Likely Needs A Win At Daytona To Make Playoffs

Saturday night's Coke Zero Sugar 400 is likely Chase Briscoe's last chance to make the playoffs this season. The Stewart-Haas Racing driver is too far back in points to make it without getting a win, and Daytona provides the best possible way for him to sneak into the postseason. The good news for Briscoe fans is that he may have a chance. Over the last two seasons on superspeedway tracks, Briscoe has the second-most laps led and has the 12th-best average finish (17.5) among Cup Series regulars. He qualified sixth for this weekend's Coke Zero Sugar 400, so while he is not a prime DFS option due to his high starting spot and the importance of place differential, it may be worth looking at Briscoe in the betting markets. He finished 10th in this year's season-opening Daytona 500.
