Michael Harris II Has Grand Return From Injured List
Michael Harris II wasted no time in making his presence felt in the lineup when he came off the injured list on Wednesday, blasting a 423-foot grand slam in the first inning of Wednesday's 13-2 win over the Giants on the second pitch he saw, sending it splashing into McCovey Cove. The 23-year-old added another RBI later, although the home run was his lone hit of the game, finishing the day 1-for-5 with five RBI and a run scored. The former Rookie of the Year began the year hot, slashing .304/.339/.452 with five stolen bases over the first month, but went ice-cold before hitting the IL in mid-June. However, Harris was swinging a hot bat on his rehab assignment, plus he's a career .333 hitter in August and .298 in September, albeit a small sample size, so look for him to finish strong.
