Julian Erosa (30-11) scored a first-round submission win over Christian Rodriguez at UFC Denver on Saturday. Erosa entered the fight as a sizeable underdog and early on, Rodriguez had some success as he landed a massive kick that the veteran ate. He then got Rodriguez down on his lone takedown attempt and was able to submit Rodriguez with just 11 seconds left in the opening round. With the win, Erosa is now 8-7 in the UFC and is on a two-fight winning streak as he has won back-to-back fights by first-round submission. Erosa could get a ranked opponent next time out.--Cole Shelton
