Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitching prospect Yilber Diaz struck out six across 5 2/3 three-run frames (zero earned runs) with five hits and two free passes. Diaz made his Triple-A debut last week and allowed four runs across 4 1/3 innings with just one strikeout. His performance on Wednesday was a nice bounce-back. The 23-year-old opened the season with Double-A Amarillo and held a 4.33 ERA and 1.24 WHIP. Diaz is ranked as the 16th-best prospect in the Arizona system on MLB Pipeline and is projected to reach the majors next season. However, if he can continue to succeed at Triple-A, he could push for a late-season debut.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerRead More News
