Johnston has played a massive role in the Stars' success in the 2024 postseason but entered Saturday's action with a three-game scoreless spell. He ended the drought just 3:39 into the contest by setting up Jamie Benn for the opening goal. Johnston then added a second assist when Esa Lindell scored an empty-net goal with 2:03 remaining in the third period.
