One driver that has put up consistently good finishes at Texas Motor Speedway since the track was repaved in 2017 is Michael McDowell. He has finished between 11th and 17th over the last three races in the Lone Star State and has posted top-20 results in six of the last nine events at this track. This weekend, McDowell qualified up in 13th for the Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400 after posting the 12th-fastest lap in practice. It is worth nothing that the No. 34 Ford ranked seventh-fastest in ten-lap average during that practice, which points to McDowell having a race car to work with on the long runs this weekend. On DraftKings, the Front Row Motorsports driver is priced at a relatively low $6,200, but his high starting position makes him quite the risky DFS pick due to the potential for negative place differential points. McDowell is definitely a driver that should only be considered in tournament-style lineup strategy approaches, and you should use sparingly. Since the start of the 2023 season, McDowell ranks just 20th-best in average running position at 1.5-mile race tracks.--Jordan McAbee
