CBB DFS: DraftKings Daily Fantasy College Basketball Picks - Today's Top Lineups (2/22/24)

Zach Edey - CBB DFS Picks, NCAA Daily College Fantasy Basketball

Today's Main DraftKings CBB DFS lineup picks for 2/22/24. Mike's top daily fantasy college basketball sleepers to build winning NCAA DFS lineups on DraftKings.

We have a delightfully busy Thursday night in the college world with a lot of Big Ten and Pac 12 teams taking the court. Eight games is about the right size for a slate and we have some elite talent on here. Hopefully you stuck around after the NBA break because this is going to be fun!

We get started in West Lafayette with Rutgers in town and SMU heads down to Boca. The next hour brings Ohio State to The Barn. The next hour has Washington in Tempe and Northwestern hosting Michigan. The next hour takes the Beavers down to Berkeley. We close out the slate with Washington State in Tucson and Oregon trying to chop down the Tree in Palo Alto.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 2/22/24, starting at 7 p.m. EST. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the salary scale's high, middle, and lower levels. Good luck, RotoBallers.

Today's DraftKings Guards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Boo Buie, Northwestern ($8.6K)

Buie is a risk because he's not all that efficient. He gets a high volume of shots though, which always gives him that coveted ceiling. It also keeps the floor fairly high. Not as high as we would like for the price, but high enough that you might still cash. This is a great matchup for Buie. Michigan's perimeter defense is lacking anyway and is even worse without Dug McDaniel, who can't play in road games. We've seen Buie clear 50 DraftKings points a few times in his career. If he's going to do it again, this would be a spot where it might happen. The matchup is that good.

Myles Rice, Washington State ($7.7K)

Rice can do a bit of everything. He can score from anywhere inside the half-court, he's good at finding open teammates, he attacks rebounds and loose balls, and is an underrated defender. He has a nice floor so long as he stays aggressive on offense. The freshman keeps getting better this year. He put up 34 DraftKings points in the first meeting against Arizona this year, an upset win in Pullman. One could argue that the Wildcats were playing better at that time and the Cougars hadn't yet realized their full potential. I still like Rice at this price.

Adam Miller, Arizona State ($5.9K)

Miller has scored in double figures in four straight games and five of the last six. Miller has been a streaky shooter in the past. When he's hot like he is now, the Gatorade bucket wouldn't cool him off. The bad news is that Miller doesn't do much aside from score. The good news is he still plays about 30 minutes per game no matter what. He's a nice piece to throw in a GPP due to the higher ceiling. I still don't think I would touch him in cash games.

Jaelin Llewellyn, Michigan ($4.7K)

Llewellyn is the designated starter for Dug McDaniel when Michigan is on the road. Llewellyn has been a modest success in this role. He had his best game of the season against Little Brother at home over the weekend with McDaniel still playing. This is a trend worth watching even when Michigan returns to Ann Arbor. Blowing up on Northwestern would go a long way toward Llewellyn getting a larger role in the offense.

Also consider: Caleb Love, Arizona ($8.5K); Johnell Davis, Florida Atlantic ($8.3K); Jeremiah Williams, Rutgers ($7.5K); Bruce Thornton, Ohio State ($7.1K); Alijah Martin, Florida Atlantic ($6.8K); Kylan Boswell, Arizona ($6K); Jadrian Tracey, Oregon ($5.8K); Nimari Burnett, Michigan ($5.5K); Jalen Celestine, California ($5.4K); Jalen Gaffney, Florida Atlantic ($5K); Kymany Houinsou, Washington State ($4.3K);

Today's DraftKings Forwards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Zach Edey, Purdue ($11K)

I still don't see how you can fade Edey in cash games. This is also one of those slates where I'm going to have a hard time fading him in any format. Rutgers didn't have an answer for him in the first meeting. Edey put up 50.5 DraftKings points with a big double-double. Those are normal for him. Edey hasn't been under 42 DraftKings points since January 23. He also hasn't hit 60 since then, so...still. Fade at your own risk. I'm certainly not going to be the one to tell you to.

Oumar Ballo, Arizona ($8.1K)

Ballo should be well-rested for this one. He played 45 of the 55 minutes against Utah on February 8, but he has only played 49 minutes over the last two games since Arizona won by 20 points and 45 points. Ballo still put up nice numbers in those games, though. We don't need to worry about production. He had 30 DraftKings points against Wazzu up in Pullman. He has at least 33 DraftKings points in every February game. He's a lock for at least 30 again.

Nick Martinelli, Northwestern ($6.2K)

There is a hole in production to be filled with Ty Berry out. Ryan Langborg is getting most of the action, but Martinelli has stepped up his scoring a bit with Berry out. He put up his first double-double of the season against the Hoosiers over the weekend. Martinelli has now topped 30 minutes in four straight games, averaging 22.6 DraftKings points per game. That's a solid return for the price.

Giancarlo Rosado, Florida Atlantic ($3.1K)

Rosado was a solid bench piece for the Owls before going down with a knee injury in the middle of January. His minutes aren't quite to the point where they were before the injury, but he has scored 14.25 DraftKings points in 16 minutes over two games since his return. If he can get those minutes back up around 15 per game, he could be a steal at this price.

Also consider: Keion Brooks Jr., Washington ($8.8K); N'Faly Dante, Oregon ($8.5K); Clifford Omoruyi, Rutgers ($7.9K); Isaac Jones, Washington State ($7.5K); Tarris Reed Jr., Michigan ($7.3K); Michael Rataj, Oregon State ($6.7K); Brandon Angel, Stanford ($5.7K); Aundre Hyatt, Rutgers ($5.4K); Trey Kaufman-Renn, Purdue ($4.7K); Grant Newell, California ($4,2K)
