Seattle Kraken forward Yanni Gourde will have a hearing on Friday for charging Edmonton Oilers defenseman Mattias Ekholm during Thursday's loss in Edmonton. The veteran was assessed a five-minute major late in the third period as it appeared he left his feet and delivered a high hit on the Oilers blueliner. A two-way player, Gourde has tallied seven goals and 19 points across 45 games on the season to go along with 97 shots on goal. His goal-scoring should steer in the right direction across the season's second half as his current 7.2% shooting rate is far inferior to his 13.7% career mark. He scored a career-high 25 goals with the Lightning in 2017-18 and has three 20-goal campaigns under his belt.--Brenton Kemp
