CBB DFS: DraftKings Daily Fantasy College Basketball Picks - Today's Top Lineups (1/12/24)

CBB DFS lineup picks DraftKings NCAA daily college fantasy basketball

Today's DraftKings CBB DFS lineup picks for 1/12/24. Mike's top daily fantasy college basketball sleepers to build winning NCAA DFS lineups on DraftKings.

It's the calm before the Saturday storm tonight. We still have a fun five-game slate with the perfect mix of majors and mid-majors. Minnesota tips with Indiana in Bloomington a little bit early, so make sure to set your lineups!

Dayton heads to Pittsburgh to take on Duquesne at the regular start time. All five games are staggered tonight, so that's kind of nice. Next up is DePaul and Villanova from Philadelphia. Nebraska heads over to Iowa City (assuming the interstate isn't closed) to take on the Hawkeyes. We end this in Reno with Boise State in town.

In this article, I will provide you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 1/12/24, starting at 6:30 p.m. Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower levels of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

Today's DraftKings Guards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Elijah Hawkins, Minnesota ($8,500)

Hawkins slipped to second in the nation in assists per game with 7.8 (Quinnipiac's Savion Lewis has 7.9 per game) and has only been under nine in a game once since December 3. Add to that his newfound shooting touch (Hawkins has scored in double figures in four straight games), and Hawkins is the safest play on the entire slate. He hasn't been under 32 DraftKings points since December 9. Hawkins does a little bit of everything and a lot of great passing.

Brice Williams, Nebraska ($7,100)

Williams was one of the few Cornhuskers who didn't shoot the lights out in the upset of top-ranked Purdue this week, but he did everything else. He finished with 11 rebounds, nine assists, two blocks, and two steals to go with his nine points. This is nothing new for Williams. He has contributed across the board all season long for Nebraska. Expect another strong showing against Iowa in every counting category that you can think of.

Hakim Hart, Villanova ($5,600)

TJ Bamba's career game against St. John's dampened Hart's totals since Bamba is usually the guy he replaces coming off the bench. Hart's minutes remain somewhat inconsistent, but he still produces good numbers when he's in there. We still have no word when Justin Moore will be back. Whenever he returns, we'll have to look elsewhere for value.

Trey Galloway, Indiana ($5,300)

The return to the starting lineup for Xavier Johnson has muddied the waters for the Indiana guards lately, but Galloway is making sure that he's keeping his spot. Galloway has at least 23 DraftKings points in four of the last five games. Johnson is almost as expensive as Galloway with almost none of the consistency that Galloway has shown. I'll pay a little more for the sure thing.

Also consider: Kenan Blackshear, Nevada ($8,500); Tony Perkins, Iowa ($7,400); Keisei Tominaga, Nebraska ($6,400); Koby Brea, Dayton ($5,700); Enoch Cheeks, Dayton ($5,400); C.J. Wilcher, Nebraska ($4,700)

Today's DraftKings Forwards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

DaRon Holmes II, Dayton ($9,000)

Elijah Hawkins may be the most consistent guy on this slate, but no one can touch the upside of Holmes. Holmes has at least 18 points in four of the last five games and seven of the last nine. He's a constant double-double threat and is a force defensively around the basket. Duquesne doesn't have the size to deal with Holmes. This could get ugly (in a good way for DFS purposes).

Ben Krikke, Iowa ($7,200)

Krikke has scored in double figures in four straight games, posting two double-doubles in that span. A foul-plagued 20 minutes against Wisconsin to start 2024 helps to keep the price down. Krikke's upside is high thanks to his ability to score almost at will. Nebraska has been tough on the interior, but I feel like they can't keep Krikke down for the whole game unless they get him in foul trouble. Only Wisconsin and Purdue have been able to so far.

Da'Sean Nelson, DePaul ($6,000)

We can excuse the pedestrian stat line against Creighton. DePaul lost by 30 and were never really in the game. Before that game, Nelson had at least 18 DraftKings points in every game since November 19. He still scored in double figures against the Blue Jays but had fewer DraftKings points than points scored. It was one of those days. Don't expect another against a Villanova team still trying to find their identity.

Mackenzie Mgbako, Indiana ($5,000)

The freshman isn't always consistent, but he has played better in games where Kel'el Ware has been active. Mgbako played 30 minutes against Rutgers for the first time in nearly a month earlier this week. He fouled out, but he provided 24.75 DraftKings points before he did. After two poor games against Nebraska and Ohio State, this is what we wanted to see from Mgbako.

Also consider: O'Mar Stanley, Boise State ($8,400); Rienk Mast, Nebraska ($7,400); Tre Coleman, Nevada ($5,700); Josiah Allick, Nebraska ($4,600)
